For Dive and his Brit Friends

This post was made for Dive! and all of Dive!'s friends in bloggerland.

I told my daughter that you were poking fun at us (lard ass yanks). She wanted me to pass on a bit from her frequently viewed anime collection. There is a longer version that you should really watch, but being the kind soul that I am, I will save you the certain humiliation of the ending, and besides, it would take me forever to upload.

I will get back to pictures soon, I promise. I could not resist making this post today!

Too funny! I'm not into anime, but I want to see more!

Hi Dive! Hear that laughter? Don't worry, it's just us silly yanks laughing at your malt vinegar fish and chips.

Oh, hee hee hee hee hee and hee again, Neetzy! That is brilliant! I'd love to see more.
I must admit to loathing fish and chip and I don't use malt vinegar on anything … but I DO love tea! Well, Shizuoka green tea, not that horrid brown stuff that the English are supposed to drink.
Weirdly, if I ever eat chips (which is around once a year), I prefer the Belgian perversity of dipping them in mayo.
Ew!

Are we allowed to make British jokes here? Getting away from the food/weight issue and throwing it into the engineering realm: Why don't the British make television sets? They couldn't figure out a way to make them leak oil. Thank You, Good Night!

Katie,

I couldn't resist!

Dive,

Hee hee hee. This is the most fun I've had in blogland!
But mayo on chips? Ewww.

Tom,

Dive started it with the Yank jokes. So the brits are fair game!

Bah ha ha! Well, I'll consider this for me as well since Dive is a friend. And, I do occasionally bust into a Mary Poppins accent for grins. Oh, and I ate at Long John Silvers today (albeit against my will). :D

We have appalling teeth, too.
And we're crap at sports … even the ones we invented.
We're good at some stuff, though … we're rainier than Seattle, even more whiney and miserable than the French and since the Beatles broke up we've produced the world's crappiest pop music.
Yaay for us!

Dive,

I was going to mention the teeth...
I thought I was being too mean.

I'm lucky. Mine are pretty much perfect so I can laugh at Americans with their mouths full of that stupid metal stuff. What IS that all about? It makes girls look so ugly when they smile. Or perhaps it is part of the Christian Right's strategy of stopping teenagers having sex …
Hee hee.

Dive, I think you're on to something there! My daughter was told she needed braces at age 7! She had them on for seven years and her teeth look worse than when she started... AND her orthodonist was one of those EXTREME Religious Right types! Worse yet he has Thomas Kincaid paintings all over his office!

EW! I'd not heard of him until I started blogging. How tacky!
I never understood the braces thing. Straight teeth look fake and a little creepy to me; I like a little charachter in a girl's smile.
